Can anyone tell me what a swedish massage is?

To give you the background of my situation. I am a Massage Therapy student at an accredited college and a certified program. I was 2 weeks away from completing the Semester and was hospitalized with a severe brain tumor.
One of my classes was a clinical class. I had achieved all the clinical hours required for this semester and my teacher was logging my hours onto the next semester because I had technically completed the clinical. After my hospitalization and procedures I was cleared to attend school again. I went back to try to finish my classes because I was told the school would work with me since I was so close to the end of the term. The school informed me my classes were considered incomplete and I would receive a grade of "F" for all of them. They would however let me retake the courses and my new grade will be averaged with the "F". The school also took away all of my clinical hours. I do not understand how they can take away my hours for services that were performed and documented in my file. They say the clinical hours do not count because i couldn’t attend class during the hours it was offered. Is it legal for them to flunk me since I was in the hospital and unable to be in school & can they take away clinical hours legally?

My other question came up this week. There is currently a student in the program who is unable to attend class during the hours offered. The school has made an exception for this person to come into other classes to perform there clinical hours. This person cannot attend the class during hours offered because of there daytime job. I could not attend do to a critical medical situation that was life or death do to the severity and the school wouldn’t allow me to finish a class, but they will allow someone who can’t attend classes because of outside of school obligations to go around the system. I do not feel this is fair. Also since they made an exception for someone because of going to a job shouldn’t I have been granted that opportunity for a medical emergency. Can I take legal action against the school, since they have now made this exception for another student and denied me?

If anyone can help or offer legal advice please do. I still had to pay for the semester out of my own pocket and I wasn’t allowed to finish it. I am now going to have to pay to take the same classes over again. So the school makes double the money from me because I almost lost my life. So if you can advise me please do I need to know if there is anything i can do to help myself

What causes the sinuses to do this? What is happening and how does it happen?

Can anyone recommend a place near Hudson, Ohio for therapeutic massage? I’d like to get a gift certificate for my mom for a Swedish or deep tissue massage. A luxurious atmosphere would be nice, but the quality of the massage is more important. Please only answer if you have personal knowledge — I can find lists of places offering massages, but I’m interested in people’s personal recommendations based on their experiences at particular spas. I’m an American living in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany and I’d like to become a massage therapist. I’m sure there are school somewhere (because spas are so popular here). But I don’t know if they have English-speaking ones for Americans. So I need to know if they do and if so where? Prehaps the ones that are closest to me? The nearest big city to me is Kaiserslautern (sp?) if that helps any..Also how long does schooling for this usually take to become certified?

I’ve heard that they don’t pay very well but I know that they are a Professional establishment and would rather work for them then find out I applied to be a prostitute at another place. I live in Phoenix so they might pay more since it’s a big city but I don’t know. If you can think of another good massage place I could work I’d appreciate knowing that too please

What certificate/diploma collage course can you take that only takes 6mos or less to complete?Like massage therapy, welding stuff like that maybe.

I have one more year left of High School and I’ve decided that I want to be a massage therapist. This has been a recent decision so I don’t know everything about becoming one. I have a couple of questions. Do you have to go to college before starting massage therapy school or can you go right after you finish High School? Also how many years of Massage therapy school do you need to become lisenced??

i have been looking and looking at courses but i cant make up my mind and i dont know to just pick one and go to college or wait until i do make up my mind i graduated in june and i decided to take a year off but its driving me nuts trying to firgure out what i want to do. I was looking at community college courses like office adminstartion, graphic design, architectural drafting, and medical assistant. i was also looking at a college for massage therapy but i dont know if i would like rubbing peoples bodies for a form of healt treatment. I know i would like hands on jobs or an office job, and i would like a job that i could work 5 days a week from mon – fri like 8-5 everyday but most jobs you have to work weekends and i like to make at least 15$ an hour. so which do you think would be a better career and a good choice? and do you think i should go to school this year or take another off until i make up my mind??

I use to massage in Indiana now I’m in Minnesota. I heard it was 600+ hours. In Indiana it was close to 680 hours. Any knowledge would be helpful.
