I’m thinking about attending the Baltimore School of Massage to get my license. But I have some questions and if you could answer any or all of them that would be great!

Where is/What are the best massage schools?

Where are the best places to work after getting graduating from a massage school?

What is the average amount of money a massage therapist makes? Can I support myself living in a city with this job?

I want to find work on a ship as a massage therapist. I am currently a student right now at the World School of Massage but I am looking for the future and what is out there before I start working on cruise ships after I graduate and get certified. I would just like to know what companies pay the most, are most accommodating to the crew, and give the most shore leave. Also I hear there are only agencies that the cruise line’s pull people out of, is that true?

So afters years of switching around a major, I’m finally a senior at high school and have to settle down on a major, so i picked Physical Therapy because I love anatomy and I’m really good at massages (or I’d like to think I am).

I wanted to know what the difference between the two is, if there is a difference.

I know what technique to use when a body part is sore, so for now I’m almost 100% sure I want this.

And does anyone have any other advice that would help me? I know it’s like 6-7 years not including the 2 years od GED?
Keep in mind I have a short attention span and am very indecisive. I’m finally sticking to something and just need some help from a real physical OR massage therapist.

Just a few things about me that might help you help me:
I love anatomy (I would be a doctor but I’m grossed out by blood, needles, knives, etc), I honesty HATE science (as in chemistry though I love Biology) and I hate math. I LOVE being active and physical and I can’t do office work because I’m a very "hands on" person. (ha-ha to those who thought of something dirty- keep it to yourself).

I was thinking of getting my certificate in massage therapy at an accredited school. I’m wondering if it’s still considered a promising field to be in? I’m talking about the ‘legitimate’ therapeutic type, not ‘happy ending’ type of massage! The real thing, that is a part of the healing arts.

Last night I was at my boyfriends house and I was just rubbing my hand over his back and it hit me I should be a massage therapist. I’m 15 and i’ll be a sophomore in high school.
I was wondering would this be a good career after high school?
What kind of school would i have to go to? and how long?
And any other information about massage therapy would be nice.

went on to become a Massage Therapist but none of those credits will transfer to any school. So I have to go to a community college to get my associates degree in nursing first right? Any info on becoming an RN in Labor and Deliver would be helpful. Thanks.

well not grant loans but more like government free poll grants or something like that. any legit websites i can go onto? i cant afford to make monthly payments for my school, i feel that i made a bad decision going to trade school to become a massage therapist, im barely making all my bill payments. I know you are suppose to pay your loans but its rather my phone bill or student loans, ill pay the phone bill.

I’m currently looking at massage schools in VA and I’ve called and asked them how much the tuition is for massage therapist and no one can give me a straight answer. I’m unable to visit their location at this time to hear the answer in person. I know the price depends on how much financial aide you get, but can anyone give me an idea? Please?!

I plan on studying Massage Therapist once i graduate from high school, but my question is do i have to take any basics ex: math, eng, science, history?

Im considering career options and came up with the idea of being a massage therapist,there is a really good school for it minutes away from my house that offers a few programs,Im looking to get into a field or career path,i dont want to do nursing or healthcare but I know for a fact i already give great massages and with formal training would be even better,is it hard to find a job in that field or is it just about the same as trying to find a job in any field…I have alot of confidence I would be great at this..which is rare for me to have confidence on choosing a career….I wouldnt mind living middle class do you think this job would offer me that life?
