Hello everyone. I hurt myself on a motorcycle about 4 years ago but didn’t go to a doctor because I had no insurance and it didn’t hurt much. However, lately it hurts me a little, especially after benching in the gym. It is very bearable but annoying. When I tense my muscle it feels like something in my shoulder is jumping into place. Is it possible to fix whatever is torn? If its either ligament or tendon?
Thanks in advance.

I got shoved to the ground earlier and landed on my knee and was wondering if it could maybe be a torn ligament.

I believe I have a torn ligament in my thumb, I gave it over two weeks to heal and it still hurts, at the base of my thumb, a bump is visible, i thought the bump was just my joints swelling, but its been awhile, and need to go to a doctor. Should i go to my primary physician first, or contact a specialist? Thanks for your help…

I fell on new year’s eve and hurt my thumb and decided not to go to the doctor. Three months later, the joint that connects the thumb to the hand is still slightly swollen and somewhat painful. I have limited use of the thumb and wondered if this is a sign of a sprained thumb or a torn ligament.

Hi, I have been a ballet dancer for six years (en pointe for four) and I recently tore a ligament in my foot. The doctor said that I should rest it for at least six weeks with only gentle exercises, but how long after this do you think it would be before I could get back to dancing?

About a month ago I tore a ligament in my foot. I can put very little weight on it. Can anyone give me some suggestions on staying in shape and training?

I tore a ligament in my leg (knee area) on Saturday and my homecoming is coming up in about a month. Right now I’m walking with crutches around school. I got asked and I want to be able to go, but I’m not sure if I will be able to dance. Will it be okay in a month and when will I be off crutches? Thanks!

I play softball all the time and i can’t really afford to miss a season! Last year i caught the ball the wrong way and it made my thumb very weak and sore! I thought that i had tore the ligament! Well after a while it just went away. This season i did the same thing, but it is not going away? I can not afford to go to the doctor and be out for 6 weeks or so? Is there anything i can do to make it strong again?

Is it true, during your period you can’t do sports or massages ? Ex: foot massage, full body massage?

My terrier (18lbs) has torn her acl ligament. I’ve found on the web that glucosamine/chondroitin helps to heal this problem, but I can’t find any information about how much to give her. My vet doesn’t know (I’m from a small town and the local vet tends to prescribe pain medicine rather than vitamins). Does anyone know where I can find this out?
