How many different types of yoga are there?
Im a bit confused on how yoga works, are there certain branches that branch off into different types?

I’m about as flexible as a steel
rod and I’ve been doing yoga at my home
for about a half a month.
I’m going to start yoga classes.
Soooo how long would it take to
become really flexible and good at yoga
going to classes?
does yoga work your abs?
I was told that I need some specific Zen clothes or Yoga clothes. But I read that normal clothes is ok. Any great suggestions would be appreciated? What about a nice japanese kimodo? Would that help? Thanks.
I’m only doing school work and homework and it feels like im SOO inactive. I need somthing to do. I already have a gym membership done so if i go to yoga classes and stuff will it help my energy level at all? Can it be an imidiate difference?
I weigh over 240 lbs. I’m 5’4". I’m miserable with myself and like all women, it’s my Old-New years resolution to lose this weight. I love yoga (yet haven’t been doing it for a few years), but I don’t want to over-indulge in it to the point where I’m not practicing more beneficial exercises for weight loss. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD WEEKLY YOGA BALANCE?
I really know nothing of the two other than that they are similar in some ways and different in others. I would like to have some sort of exercise I can do at home since I won’t have as much free time to go to the gym anymore. I would like to do exercises that tone my body overall. Gaining strength would be nice but it’s not as important. I’ve heard that yoga is more about stress release and meditation but can it also be used as a workout? Thanks for the help!
How to contortionists become contortionists? Do they start by doing yoga and basic stretching and work their way up to contorting themselves, or are there special excerises people do in order to become contortionists that are different from yoga?
I’m new to yoga, I’m not exactly sure how it’s supposed to go…I’ve seen that Natamase Yoga on the Fit channel, but it goes pretty fast…I really want to lean up my arms and legs. I’m already pretty flexible, so please, if you have any websites or youtube videos, that would help me out so much.

I workout with weights heavily on a 4-day split and was looking for something new in between rest days. What are the benefits of yoga or some sort of stretching regimen? How would it specifically benefit someone who lifts weights at a very high intensity 4 times a week? Sorry, I don’t really know anything about yoga to be honest…
I am 23 years old. I have heard a lot about yoga. There are various asana in yoga and some of these are difficult to understand. I just want to know some specific yoga asana which will be beneficial for our organs.
I just cancelled my gym membership and I thought that yoga would be something good to do at home before and after work.

I am just a beginner, well not even a beginner. Seeing as though I have not participated in much yoga activity, come to think of it probably i have never done yoga! However, I am very athletic and already work out. Im looking to try something fun and new. Please Help!
