I loveee getting massages. With the new healthcare law I wonder if people in the States will get to take advantage of all those free massages that come with health insurance. What a great way to relax and do good things for you mind, body and soul…. Some insurance companies may require a doct’s note first ( good for a year ) but the majority of doctors know the value of massage and will give you note recommending you get massage treatments.

ok, here we go

i have pain in my left arm, and it is extremely bad

it feels like someone is stabbing my arm

i have a trigger point in the middle of my arm, located between the elbow and the head of the bicep, about 1 cm north of it towards my head

if you slightly touch it, i’ll jump becuz it hurts so much

i’ve had this since 5th grade, my arm started feeling really funny, then in 6th grade it started to hurt

in 7th grade it got really bad, so we started seeing doctors, but none of them could figure out what it was

i’m in 11th grade now, and the pain is terrible, it wakes me up at least once each night

the pain will come out of nowhere too, i’ll just be sitting on my couch, then all of a sudden, a wave of pain will rock my arm

the wave of pain lasts anywhere from 30 seconds, to 2 hours

when it hurts, i can’t do anything, it’s so bad, i just get in a fetal position and grab a hold of my arm to stop the pain

the trigger point is in the middle of my arm like i said before, but the wave of pain affects my bicep, elbow, tricep, shoulder somewhat, neck, and the top of my forearm

i’ve been to 30 doctors, at least, here is what my condition is NOT

x-rays showed negative, there’s nothing wrong with the bone

MRI’s showed nothing

i went thru physical therapy, nothing helped

it is not carpel tunnel syndrome, i saw a hand/wrist specialist

i went to a guy to give me stretches, didn’t work

i’ve had 2 shots of quartazone in the area, which numbed my hole arm for 2 hours, and didn’t feel any pain, but that ended after 2 hours

i have lidocaine patches, which are awesome, but they only prevent the pain for about 6 hours

they’ve put a magnet over the trigger point, but that did nothing

i’ve had acupuncture, some days worked, others made it worse

when my arm is hurting really bad, i take aleves, which seem to help

i also take advil

a neurologist saw my arm, had no clue

my last doc told me to live with it

here are some tendencies i find help start the pain:

when it’s really hot, and my left arm gets hot, the pain starts

after i play a lot of piano, the pain starts

when i play baseball or work out, the pain starts

however, when i sit in the same position for more than 10 minutes, the pain starts too

volleyball absolutely kills my arm

clapping hurts too, which makes me look weird at shows lol

when my arm gets cold, or i put cold water or biofreeze over the area, the pain is soothed

i have also used kinesio tape, which works pretty good, but doesn’t take it away completely

when i close my eyes, the pain feels like the color yellow, whih is weird, i put that in case that could be something or not lol

this is what i think it could be:

nerve damage, or something related to my neck, cuz when i cracked my neck on accident last week, the pain was worse for a good 5 days, then it calmed down to its original self

or myofascial pain syndrome

my family says it’s growing pains, but, the more i’ve grown, the worse it’s got, and it shows no sign of stopping

there are no visible scars, discolation, marks, or any other junk on the surface of my arm, it looks completely normal, and the funny thing is, my left arm isn’t even my dominant arm!

last year, i had a circumsision, and the doc gave me codine pills mixed with tylenol to deal with that post-surgery pain, my arm didnt hurt for 2 weeks, then after 2 weeks with the pills, my left arm got used to it, and started hurting again!

i have no clue what it is

thank you in advance, and i really appreciate your answers

unless you tell me to go to allhomeremedies.com and tell me to keep using yahoo answers :)

please help!!!!

I have a Sharp pain in my right shoulder blade area that I assume to be a pinched nerve. Pain ‘radiates’ around the spot and my right arm/hand is tingly/semi-numb. The pain started happening Thursday morning, it’s now Sunday afternoon an getting worse. Pain killers havent done anything… Doctors appt? Thanks!

My wife was prescribed high doses of Hydrocodone over a period of three years, due to multiple back surgeries. Now it seems as the pain management doctors are asking her to just stop her meds and deal with the detox. She is also a heart patient and can’t take normal stress related symtoms as others may be able to endure.

I’ve had neck pain/soreness for about 2 weeks. At first it was just sore turning to the right. The last 2 days it has gotten much worse. It heart so much I was in tears getting dressed this morning. I can’t even move! What should I do? Not to mention I just found out I’m pregnant so there isn’t much I can take.
I did make a doctors appointment before I put this up. I was hoping someone might have some tips to give.

Is lower back pains included in constipation?

I have difficulty ‘going’. I went to the doctors and they said that it is constipation. I have been eating alot of fruits and i have been going but just a bit. But now my lower back hurts like there is muscle pain there or something. My dad said its just from the bed when i sleep. I dunno. Any ideas?

Preparation options for colonoscopy?

I’ve heard that colon hydrotherapy is a far more safe, comfortable, and convenient way to prepare for a colonoscopy – and equally effective if not more. So why do doctors still insist on having patients do it the hard way, with fasting, awful drinks and harsh laxatives?

I’m over 40 now, but ever since I was in my early 20′s I’ve had major pain in my shoulder/neck area.

I’m an anxious-type person, and though I usually wake up relaxed my muscles are usually tense all over by about 4PM.

The concentration of the muscle tension is in my left neck/shoulder and causes headaches and a general feeling of blah. When the pain gets really bad all I can think of is going to sleep so I can wake up relaxed.

I’ve been to many doctors. Each says its nothing physical. I’ve had x-rays, MRI, trigger-point injections, massage therapy, chiropractic, physical therapy & various drugs. The only drug I’ve been able to use that helped was Soma, because it doesn’t make me loopy but does reduce the feeling of pain significantly.
I’ve been taking Soma about a year and a half. Now the Dr says I’m taking too much (350mg 4x day) The label says take 1 every 6-8 hrs as needed. Why is Soma not an acceptable drug for longterm pain management if it works for managing my pain?

I’m a 23 year old male. For at least 2 maybe even 3 years I’ve had a small lump in my neck muscle just below the cranium. I’ve had it checked out by two different doctors who just think its tension in the muscle, because its mobile and goes away when i tense my muscle. Anyway, now near the same area, right behind my ear, I get a dull burning sensation that comes and goes every few minutes for the past few days. Anyone know how to relieve this? Thanks in advance.

I have been to the doctors nothing they have done has helped me. Does anyone know what I can do?

I believe that yoga and taichi are good for clearing out and decongesting the body in general, but are there some specific exercises or stretches that will work more immediately to help clear the inner ears or eustachian tubes?

Put it this way: say you have clogged inner ears and doctors haven’t been able to help much… what do you do?

Hello, I’m 16 years old and a basketball player. Anyways, here is the story, it was like a year ago, I would play basketball every. One day, I shot the ball, and here comes the "oh shit" moment.. and it happened.. it wasnt painful but.. I dont know.. but I kept shooting, so I guess it wasnt painful much. Anyways, I didnt really pay attention to my injured elbow, but everyday, I could feel that my arm was getting weaker, but I ignored it. I stopped playing basketball but instead i played video games. But I iced my elbow while playing it. Wow I cant believe its been a year since I got the injury.. I’m really confused about my injury.. my family doctor says its elbow strain, but 1 of my massage threapist say its tennis elbow. and another one of my massage threapist say its elbow strain..and people on yahoo say I torned my muscle or tendon! Which I dont think so. My doctors and MT say I didnt torn my muscle..Ok lets say its a strain. but why is it taking so long time to heal?

it’s a sharp throbbing pain that stems from my lower back just above my butt and it starts pounding then shoots into my butt and thigh. then it starts shooting into my butt thigh and wraps all around my upper body making it difficult to breathe. it only feels slightly better when i hold my breath but when i breathe out its hurts ten times more.
its an unbearable pain that kept me up til 5 last night even with taking two advils and a benadryl. finally after about 6 hours of the pain, it faded away over the course of about ten minutes.
i cant stand up because the pain shoots into my thigh and down my legs making it hard for me to stand longer than 5 minutes. i cant lay or sit down because the pain goes into my chest and i cant breathe.
its happened to me for years and everytime i go to the doctors they do an x-ray but say im perfectly fine. what does it sound like i have? doctors think im exaggerating it but i cant deal with it anymore. i cant sleep, cant even move. its horrible.
