I have a Sharp pain in my right shoulder blade area that I assume to be a pinched nerve. Pain ‘radiates’ around the spot and my right arm/hand is tingly/semi-numb. The pain started happening Thursday morning, it’s now Sunday afternoon an getting worse. Pain killers havent done anything… Doctors appt? Thanks!

I have had a pinched nerve in my hip for well over a year now. No doctors ever gave us the right diagnosis, so it was basically treated for all the wrong things "pulled muscle, cyst, spine curve".. And I’m going to the doctors tomorrow, I think they might have me go under surgery since it’s been so long. My chiropractor thinks I that I get a pinched nerve in my neck when I move my neck through certain motions. I have pain in my right pinkie and ring finger when I close my hand. If the nerve was involved wouldn’t it hurt (all the time) regardless of whatever I was doing with my hand?

I wrestle and box and so I believe I may have injured my upper back/lower neck last night in wrestling. I have this pain in what seems to be my thoracic area (between shoulder blades) only on the left side of my spine, almost as if it’s against it, but this isn’t muscle pain. It feels deeper. It is in constant pain, but especially hurts when I lean my head forward all the way or when i turn my head toward my left. It hurts when I turn my head right, but not nearly as much.

Could this be of cervical origin because it hurts when twisting my head the most? Is this a pinched nerve? Is this a common injury with wrestling? I’ve never seen anyone have this. What are some thoughts on what it could be? What should I do? I’m thinking about acupuncture and visiting a chiropractor just because I know one of each, but would really appreciate possibilities of what this is, that I have everything on the table and can work every angle.
I know I should see a physician, but I just graduated college and am not insured yet.

I have Used a heating pad, icy hot, aleve which I heard can cause bad side effects when to much is taken same with aspirn I was wondering if there was one I could take more of like ibprofin which I heard can’t hurt u as bad its been two days and it shows no sign of stopping.

my shoulder is killing me, and i think the pain is from a pinched nerve where the arm meets the shoulder. anyone know a good way to free it?
none of the answers below seem very "alternative", i fixed the problem myself with martial arts stretches and 3 rounds agenst my brothers who were more than happy to help me rearrange my skeleton… and face… and internal organs. i suspect the only problem was i was sleeping on an old futon bed.

I often get headaches in the back of my neck, when I lower my head, the pain shoots down my spine to the lower back…can a pinched nerve or misaligned neck cause headaches or tingling on the top of my head?

My mom says I have a pinched nerve around my right shoulder blade, it hurts like crazy to move my right arm or turn my head or move a lot at all. Everything my mom has tried hasn’t helped… It hurts! Any ideas?

I think I have a pinched nerve in my left underarm. It is hard to raise my left arm and when I do it feels like it’s pulling. I can’t raise my arm all the way. The pain has spread from my underarm on down to the inside of my elbow and is swollen. How long will this pain last?
