For months I have been experiencing slowly worsening pain in my right shoulder. It started with a numb burning feeling under my shoulder blade and has developed into a sharp pain that radiates down my tricep and makes my surrounding shoulder muscles sore. I do have health insurance that will start soon, but wondered in the meantime if anyone had experienced something that sounds like this, and what it turned out to be.

Hi
I strained a back muscle near my right shoulder blade at work and because I have had it so long, the doctor signed me up for physical therapy. What are the chances of recovering from this injury if I follow the therapists instructions and do the exercises at home as well? I have went a long time not using the muscle to aid in healing and because of that, it is weak. It is not a severe strain but I am afraid I will be stuck dealing with it forever. Thanks

my shoulder blade area has been hurting for 6 days now. i can’t pick anything heavy up with the opposite arm, it hurts to breathe sometimes, it is tender to touch and it is starting to interfere with my life and is becoming unbearable. i have a doctor’s appointment in 3 days. The pain is getting worse, not better. Do you think i should go to the hospital rather than wait for my appointment?

I am about five weeks pregnant. When I breathe in my shoulder blade hurts (almost like a stitch in your chest hurts when you breathe in). I know this is a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy, but I have no other symptoms of it. Would I have cramps and bleeding before the symptom of shoulder pain?

My mom says I have a pinched nerve around my right shoulder blade, it hurts like crazy to move my right arm or turn my head or move a lot at all. Everything my mom has tried hasn’t helped… It hurts! Any ideas?

last year around this time i developed a horrible lower back pain. i went to the doctor and they told me i had a pulled muscle in my back and to ice it and take pain meds. it helped for a while but i still had the pain. as of about a month ago i realized that the pain has moved up my back to my shoulder blade area. my mother didn’t believe me until about a week ago when the pain was so bad it caused my to cry. the pain is like a tense muscle pain but also like someone is pulling my muscles apart. it also causes my to feel like i need to stop breathing hold my breath for a second ( i know it sounds funny). and streching doesn’t help. i’m scared i might have some serious medical condition. i’m supposed to go to the doctor pretty soon but i would like to hopefully get some answers now. do you know what it could possibly be? or anything that could help? thank you for your time. btw i’m 14

I got the injection about a week ago and my neck feels pretty good but I have had a pain in my left shoulder blade since the injection. Is this normal or has anyone else had this issue? The injection was in my lower neck not my shoulder.

I’ve had this intense burning and pain by my shoulder blade and arm for about 2 weeks now. It starts off very suttle and becomes almost unbearable. Starts with my shoulder blade and continues to my arm. I don’t do any heavy lifting whatsoever. What could this be from?

I’ve been lifting weights for the past few months and recently I’ve been having this sharp stabbing pain around my right shoulder blade. It comes randomly even if I’m not moving. I’ve stopped doing bench and shoulder presses till I know what’s wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve been to maybe 10 different doctors, a neurologist, a chiropractor, 2 physical therapists, and massage therapists. I’ve had xrays, MRIs, CT scans. It’s on both sides, but my right side it worse. It’s around my shoulder blade, collar bone, up my neck to the base of my skull. The masseuse described my muscles as a"steel cable" they were so tight. He put all his strength into losening my knots but most of the time I couldn’t even feel it. It’s getting worse and now my nerves are slightly pinched because my arm and fingers tingle. I’m never pain free. I can’t workout much or run because I’m too tight and uncomfortable. I’m thinking about resorting to Acupuncture! I’m running out of options and I can’t live like this anymore.
I’m 21 years old and a college student, but my workload isn’t too stressful.
I have tried most of those exercises and stretches, but haven’t stuck with them. I know I need to! I have a memory foam. And I have had surgery on both sides of my jaw for TMJ. The doctors assumed the surgery would fix my back. I’m trying my best to stick with the stretches. I guess I shouldn’t run then?
